Trees… They are the messengers of hope and happiness. How poetic they are, sending their pollen to distant beloveds. A message of friendship, carried by the wind for hundreds of miles, forging bonds that endure. They receive this gift without knowing the sender, without questioning—without expectation. Trees live in quiet contentment, free from demands. They are happy because they expect nothing. They flourish because they understand how little this life truly demands of them. They live happily as they do know how unimportant this life is.

It took thousands of years for humankind to uncover the true structure of the universe, gradually dispelling myths and legends. Today, we believe we are venturing deeper and deeper into space. Yet, our own fundamental nature remains a mystery—perhaps even stranger than we once imagined.

Bloom again…

We have lost the childish curiosity that once fueled our ideas, shaped our minds, and enriched our daily lives. Yet, we long to reclaim it by any means possible. The ability to see the world as a child does—full of wonder, complexity, and mystery—still lies within us.

Richard Dawkins once said: “The universe does not owe us any meaning. It could be that there is no meaning in life.”

From an evolutionary perspective, we now understand the origins of diversity in organisms—accidental yet continuous genetic mutations, the separation of gene pools, natural selection, and more. This very process has shaped us into what we are today and will continue to drive our evolution into the beings of the future.

A View of the City
(Kourosh Mall, Tehran, Iran)
.
How many times did I look at the city? I have always been jealous of the information being exchanged or the emotions being expressed in the bulk of the population. Who loves who? Who says what? Who is going to die tonight? Who will be born? Who is dancing on the stage right now? These questions that emerge at night and vanish in the day, are too baffling to convey. Even we, ourselves, cannot understand them completely, let alone talk about them.
Nevertheless, we somehow share similar thoughts. And the night is the knight of the mind, exploring wherever it wants, conquering every territory of the dream, and finally making the body ponderously walk to the bed, as it is too exhausted to do any other thing after thinking for several hours.

Flowering plants first appeared 125 million years ago, and it took nearly 5 million years for them to spread across the planet. We write these numbers effortlessly, rarely pausing to grasp their true scale. One hundred and twenty-five million years.
We feel changed after just five years and struggle to recall details from a decade ago. All of modern civilization emerged after the Industrial Revolution, and the earliest great dynasties date back no more than ten thousand years. Yet, we utter the word ‘million’ without truly comprehending its vastness—without realizing just how immense such a span of time really is.

This is a view from my childhood home, where I grew up with a warm-hearted family I am proud of. I spent years gazing at that mountain peak, that familiar slope, and the waterfall that came to life every winter. And at the very top—standing alone—was a solitary tree, rooted against the wind, watching over everything in silence.

I had always wondered about that peak, that slope, and the waterfall’s return with each winter. I had always dreamed of the suspension I would feel if I jumped off that tip—no weight, no pain...

I can still recall the scent of the air at every time of day. Morning has its own crisp freshness, while the evening carries a different, lingering odor. I remember the Friday noons when I walked to the supermarket for soda. Evenings were for playing, and by sunset, we were ready for dinner.

How many memories have been buried alive in our chests, like fire beneath the ash? And how many years have we spent to reach where we are now?

After all...
Nothing will remain of us.
And no one will remember.

Walnut

The walnut tree stands clean, untouched by insects—protected by the very chemicals that give its green husk a bitter taste.

It teaches us a quiet lesson: A little bitterness is sometimes necessary to keep our distance from bitter people. To truly grow and flourish, we need a circle of caring friends—those who nurture, not drain, our inner selves.

Like dissolves like”—a fundamental principle in chemistry used to explain solubility. But I believe it applies far beyond chemistry. Similar things naturally accept each other. The intrinsic nature of things binds them together, forming an invisible force that fosters friendships and relationships of all kinds
